Business Development Manager Inbound Tourism
We are looking for an astute and experienced BDM to grow along with into a senior role, for an upcoming tourism company based in Karachi.
Business partnering the group management team, you will develop and execute the business and commercial strategy of the company.
Reporting to the country manager, you will proactively lead on initiatives and be directly responsible to:
• Design innovative and premium tourism experiences into viable business products.
• Deliver commercially successful standardized and customized comprehensive tour packages
• Drive commercial growth through successful local travel trade partnerships
• Develop customer growth and retention for foreign inbound tourists through online, e-commerce and social marketing platforms, and lead on campaign rollouts in territories across Western and China markets.
The ideal candidate should have the below requirements:
• A recognized university degree and/or Master’s/MBA qualification with fluency in English and reasonable understanding of the regional languages.
• At least 8-10 years of relevant marketing experience with recent years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated track record of success in managing a wide spectrum of Tourism marketing, e-commerce, product development with consumer centric business.
• Well versed with the 5 As of Tourism business in developing packages targeting domestic and international traveler markets.
• A willing traveler, if required, with tourists to ensure customer satisfaction as well as product improvements
• Possess good knowledge of Tourism rules and regulations and that of legal and security requirements for the tourism spots in Pakistan.
• Strong network of contacts with travel & tour operators and hotels throughout Pakistan with various working modalities of the industry.
• Comfortable and have experience working in a very fast-paced and data driven environment
• A self-starter with analytical and creative capabilities and is able to work and deal with all ambiguities.
• Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills, you possess the gravitas to influence and work well with all stakeholders.
• Must have a passion for the travel and tourism sector and a natural drive to provide hospitality and premium services to international leisure and business tourists.
