Foley is the thing which is responsible for everyday sounds that are used in filmmaking. All these types of sounds are reproduced from the swishing of clothing and also from the footsteps to make a high-pitched sound and also from the breaking of the glass. Actually the art of Foley is so well desegregated into any film in a way that it is not noticed by the audience. A film or movie feels unnaturally quiet and uncomfortable with these crucial background noises.



For recreating the realistic ambient sounds the Foley artist always look on the film portrays. Basically all the Foley sounds are used to increase all the auditory experiences of the movie. There is another use of Foley for covering all the unwanted sounds that are captured on the set of a movie. All these types of sounds are captured during film making process and can take away from the scene such as passing traffic and over flying airplanes.

The main work of the Foley artist is to create most of the sounds with the help of props which they have accumulated over the course of all their careers. Usually Foley artists are well trained and have a technique of making different sounds according to the scene of the movie. A Foley artist does many types of tasks in the film industry for making different sounds. Some are they operate the audio equipment for recording and editing music, mix and edit sound effects in the studio, use console boards to adjust the volume and also sound qualities etc.

Usually a Foley artist earns lot of money for hard work, so it is clear that there is money in any business whether you start it with less investment or with big investment.
