JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering front-line mental health services in communities across Karachi, as well as within IRD Partner sites. This includes providing lay counseling and support services to individuals experiencing depression/anxiety and conducting awareness-raising activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct mass screening for depression/anxiety at both facility and community levels.
Provide lay counseling and support to individuals found positive for depression/anxiety.
Maintain excellent records of client treatment progress.
Establish a safe environment for people to discuss their personal issues.
Provide counseling to family members if needed of people with depression/anxiety.
Make home visits as required.
Conduct community mobilization activities, as required, for awareness-raising sessions.
Carry out research activities data collection as required by the program.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients, conversations, referrals, etc.
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.
Calling up the patients for Follow-up.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES KSA
Required Qualification
Minimum Intermediate

Required Experience
Experience in providing counseling services

Required Skills
Good communication skills
Fluency in regional language
Experience with MS Office
Experience of field work
