Job Duties:
i) Determine need for new legislation, propose amendment in the existing laws, if required. In consultation with stakeholders, draft rules and regulation under the Act.
ii) Identify and overcome constraints affecting enforcement of laws.
iii) Prepare cases for Environmental Tribunals or of appeals in the High Court as and when required.
iv) Undertake inquiries or investigation into environmental issues.

Qualification/Experience required:
Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s Degree in Public Administration/ Business Administration/ Political Science/ Economics and a degree in LL.M./ L.L.B. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years post qualification experience in BS-16 or above or equivalent in Legal/ Enforcement of Laws in Govt./ Semi-Govt./ Reputable Organization.
