Sir When I went to Islamabad to appear in my sixth test for UN, I knew that It was my last chance, at the worst time of my life, deep in debts, at the twilight of my age, and I had to grab it at any cost. So, I practiced very hard for my shooting, driving, English skills and had my three daughters on my mind all the times. My aim was to finally make a home for my five grown kids, arrange the marriages of my daughters, and support the education of my five kids. I borrowed money, came to Islamabad three days earlier, lived in a barrack, did eat only once a day, and practiced very hard. I had lost several golden opportunities for the mistakes or wickedness of dealing persons of my department who lost my nomination, lost my P-11, failed me in writing a straight forward report, failed to inform me of UN missions and vacancies, used as their business, limited only to those who render them financial service and huge gratitude. The transparent process of selection for missions and UN posts, only door ajar on merit has been sealed by rife corruption. I was not prepared for the blunder of Some section officer or incompetent typist who deleted, omitted me from the list either deliberately or mistakenly in spite of an order from Sindh High Court. The UN SAT team, played a very negative role in this matter by refusing to accept the names of candidates who were omitted from the list due to mistake and technical problems, to top it all my name. It was the most blatant contempt of Sindh High Court by UN SAT team. I pleaded with them for entire eight days not to destroy the future of my kids and make me a part of the process of selection but they refused even to listen to me in spite of a court order. It was not a violation of any UN rule to include my name in the list as soon as the mistake was realized. I was told all day that I will participate in the test in the last group and most rudely expelled from the test room in the end and concerned officials of the ministry took no interest to get me the justice. But what difference it makes? I have lost this life time opportunity that could have revolutionized the future of my kids and their generations to come. In one mission we get paid almost 10 years Pakistani salary. What a loss and humiliation. I was literally begging for justice, to all of the concerned officials of Ministry of Interior, my superiors, who were all candidates for the same test and least interested in doing me justice. I was told by everybody there was nothing that could be done. Why? What did I do wrong? Why my kids should loose a life time opportunity for some clerical mistake committed by someone else? By far, this is the most unjustified thing ever happened to me. I can not put into words the pain, suffering and helplessness I have suffered during those 10 days in Islamabad. It is also beyond any compensation but compensation for my financial loss is very much possible and is only hope for the education and future of my kids. It can easily be compensated by nominating me for any suitable UN post by our Ministry of Interior. I have the education, MA, experience, three UN missions, ability, perfect proficiency of spoken and written English. The only missing link is a will by the concerned of my department and Ministry to send me to UN. I also request for a fair inquiry to determine who is responsible on so many occasions to deprive me of missions and UN posts. Please help me with this and save the future of my five grown kids.
