One of our clients, a leading business school is looking for;
Manager IT
Position Summary:
The Selected candidate will be required to provide technical vision and set directions for the IT department, which should be aligned with mission of the institute. He/she should define, establish, plan & administer policies and operational needs within the department for network & Security, Database management, Disaster Recovery and Licenses compliance. Those having hands-on experience of PeopleSoft will be given preference.
Ideal candidate should possess strong object-oriented and database skills, preferably, in ORACLE systems. She/he will provide technical leadership role to the development team. Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment and has Master’s degree in Computer Engineering/IT from a reputed university. The Candidate must have minimum 10 years of relevant experience, 5 years of which should be at managerial level.
The incumbent must possess the following skills:
• Management, organizational and supervisory skills
• Ability to build a strong team
• Good Analytical and problem solving skills
• Good Understanding of complex information and requirements
• Decision making ability with good judgmental capabilities
• Effective written, verbal, presentation and listening communications skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and within constraints
• Long term planning of IT systems and resources
Technical Skills:
Full Life Cycle implementation and upgrade experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, CRM, HCM, and Financials, serving in the roles of developer, trainer, and Technical Lead/Manager for Oracle based systems.
Managing scope, schedule, resources, risks & issues for technical teams, from small module-specific development teams and large development teams at Universities.
Focused on providing optimized end-user experiences with thoughtful design, business process improvement, and comprehensive testing.
Can effectively communicate with developers and C-level programmers.
Proven ability to bring individuals together across operational boundaries to efficiently investigate and solve difficult technical problems.
Infrastructure configuration, tuning, development, and training for ERP Systems, including Web Services and HR/Campus Solution “split” integration.
Extensive experience in systems design, performance testing, tuning and integration from small systems to large ERP systems.
2 years hands-on development with Oracle Tools architecture, including Application Engine and Web Services.
Preferred Tools and Languages Skills:
People Code, Application Engine, Application Packages, People Tools (Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and Web Services), JavaScript, jQuery, HP/Mercury Load Runner, Java, HTML, PHP, C, and Visual Basic.
