A/R REP DUTIES:
Ø Knowledge of insurance guidelines
Ø plan to achieve targets assigned
Ø Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
Ø Check each insurance payment is for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
Ø Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
Ø All accounts are to be reviewed for insurance or patient follow-up
Ø Answer all insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
Ø To Track down practices issues and highlight them to TL/ Manager.
Ø To keep Billing Team updated with changes in insurance guidelines.
Ø Create a corrective action plan once errors have been identified
Billing Team Job Summary:
Billing team’s job summary is to do medical billing on daily basis without any delay. Update the missing and
pending log on daily basis and keep direct contact with the Team Lead.
MEDICAL BILLING RESPONSIBILITIES
• To keep up to date with the daily billing.
• To make sure not to miss any of the billing.
• To keep up to date with the medical billing policies and guidelines.
• To keep on track on missing and pending claims.
• To make sure of 100 percent error less work.
• To keep on track on the insurance denials so that in future while coding and billing do not make such kind of mistakes.
• Verifying the patient eligibility in order to avoid insurance rejections.
• Meeting the daily, weekly and monthly charges targets. •
Doing research on medical billing and on coding and do team discussions regarding the billing issues.
