We have an exciting new opening for a Technical Office Automation Project Manager to support an Oil & Gas firm based in Lahore and Karachi with 20 other sites in the region. Our client requires an experienced Technical Project Manager to migrate around 250 users in the country from legacy systems to the Group Office automation tool and get connected to the corporate network.
Reporting to the APAC CIO, with regular contact with the head office in Europe and regional subsidiaries, you will work with local IT Engineers who will carry out the project and liaise with business teams (Key Users for the application side) during the project. You will follow an establish process that has been undertaken in a number of countries across the global network and use tools and procedures that should be strictly followed throughout the project. Please note that it is essential that you have flexible with international travel and are comfortable travelling across Asia on business, and that you have a valid passport.
You will be able to deliver:
With Key users : Test scenarios, Tests tracking Reporting, Cutover documentation, Data preparation
With the IS Branch: Weekly reporting on project progress, Meeting Minutes, Steering Committee preparation
Technical assistance for the Office Automation project:
Follow-up the Technical Design Specification
User Acceptance: assistance of the key user in the test run
Coordination and Follow-Up of the test campaign progress
Cutover / Rollout preparation
Rollout support
Handover to Support Organization
Skills & Requirements
A strong background in Office Automation and Telecom
Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional and international teams
Ability to ‘muck in’ and act as technical support during implementation
Interact with IS technical teams
Effective liaison with business teams
Ability to work under strong planning constraints
Ability to work to a strict project methodology
Knowledge in Project reporting (Excel, PowerPoint slides preparation)
