AM Network (Job Description)
Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting company''s IT infrastructure system. Designs and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.
Assist the IT Manager in all aspects of RAS domain i.e. hardware, network and software. Keeps up to date the IT matters to head office management and local head of the stations.
Specification
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology. Should have completed any one of MCSE/CCNA/CCNP certifications. Person should have mandatory skills in Windows server and server hardware of Dell or HP
• Installation, maintenance & troubleshooting of Active Directory, Domain Controller, ADC, DNS, DHCP, WDS and other servers
• Installation, maintenance & troubleshooting of file server, user''s quota and role assignment etc.
• Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Install and maintain network hardware and software.
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Evaluate and modify system''s performance.
• Identify end user needs.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company''s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
• Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Protects organization''s value by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain network and computer system security and ensure that all systems are operating correctly
• Knowledge of ERP, Citrix and VMware will be preferred.
• IT assets management skills
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of all servers and computers
• Identifying single-point-of-failure and plan to mitigate. adhere to change management process
• Keep a track of uptime and capacity utilization of servers and publish reports to management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate well with internal and external team members
• Execute additional tasks given to meet internal IT projects milestones and willingness to put additional hours when ever required.
• Ensures that email and data storage networks work properly.
• Make sure that employees’ workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the central computer network. Manage telecommunication network.
• Knowledge of backup technologies.
