Job Description

1. Tax Compliance:

Ensure the organization complies with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, property tax, and other relevant tax filings.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates to the companys tax compliance procedures.
2. Tax Planning:

Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the companys tax liabilities while remaining compliant with tax laws.
Analyze the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and investments to make informed recommendations to management.
3. Tax Reporting:

Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial statements, tax provision calculations, and disclosures for external reporting purposes.
Ensure the companys tax accounting is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP.
4. Tax Research:

Conduct tax research to stay informed about tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
Advise on tax implications of potential mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
5. Compliance Reporting:

Ensure that all financial and tax filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain records and documentation for tax compliance purposes.
6. Communication:

Communicate tax implications and strategies effectively to senior management and other relevant departments.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and other teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
