General Manager – Casting Foundry

As a General Manager at Chenab Engineering Works & Foundries, you will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge, experience, and creativity to transform sand casting technology business. You will manage a team of engineers, technicians and supervisors providing your leadership skills to turn innovative ideas into actualities in the form of superior sand casting products.

Qualification: BE/BSc Metallurgy/Material Science/Materials Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a progressive sand casting plant especially in moulding and melting.

Required skills:
Expertise in moulding and melting technology of sand casting
Hands-on using Microsoft office tools
Good knowledge of statistical quality control and lean tools
Solid knowledge of allied foundry processes
Passion for taking up challenges
Proficient in technical report writing
Good interpersonal communication
Inspirational personality
Key responsibilities:
Develop, improve and control of foundry specific processes with an aim to minimize scrap and rework.
Plan and lead routine process walks and root cause investigations to identify and quickly resolve production issues.
Develop man-machine systems to efficiently collect and analyze process data.
Closely work with top management to formulate policies for business improvement.
Identify and implement safety improvements throughout the factory.
Identify training opportunities and generate tools to educate foundry staff on advanced processing and sand casting fundamentals.
Provide expert feedback regarding part quality, process risks, and improvement opportunities.
Design operational metrics to appraise performance of various foundry departments
Collaborate with customers to develop products with improved safety, reliability and casting quality.
