Knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, LAN/WAN implementations, Structured cabling
Familiarity with OSPF routing protocol and management of multi-area OSPF
Practical Knowledge of Layer-2 and Layer-3 protocols and technologies like VLANs, trunking, STP / RTSP, port security, storm control, ARP inspection, MAC address filteration, DHCP snoping, VPNs / IPSec tunnels, QoS, ACLs, SNMP v2 and v3, DHCP, IPv4, etc.
Assists with day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption
Installing, configuring, and monitoring network elements including routers and switches
