(CASE NO.54- RF / 2016) RECRUITMENT TO 30 (INCLUDING 01 POST RESERVED FOR DISABLED PERSONS, 02 POSTS RESERVED FOR MINORITIES AND 05 POSTS RESERVED FOR WOMEN QUOTA) POSTS OF STATISTICAL OFFICER (BS-17) ON CONTRACT BASIS FOR THE PERIOD OF 05 YEARS FURTHER EXTENDABLE SUBJECT TO THE GOOD PERFORMANCE OF THE APPOINTEE ON ALL PUNJAB BASIS IN THE CROP REPORTING SERVICE.
1. QUALIFICATION:
i. Master’s Degree (2nd Division) in Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics with optional subject of Statistical methods from a recognized University; and
ii. One year experience in the collection and tabulation of data and / or application of Statistical methods and graphic presentation of data and / or application.
OR
iii. Master’s Degree from a foreign recognized University (other than an Indian University) in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics.
Note:
M.A / M.Sc Economics with compulsory paper of Statistics for Economics has been equated with Master’s Degree in Economics with optional subject of Statistical Methods by Q.E.D.C.
2. PAY: BS-17
3. AGE:
21 to 35 + 5 Years General Age relaxation in upper age limit for Male Candidate = 40 Years and 21 to 35 + 8 Years General Age relaxation in upper age limit for Female Candidates = 43 Years on 28-04-2016 as per Government of Punjab, S&GAD Notification No.SOR-I (S&GAD) 9-36/81dated 21-05-2012.
4. DOMICILE: Candidates domiciled in any District of the Province of Punjab.
5. GENDER: Both Male & Female.
6. PLACE OF POSTING: All Punjab.
7. SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN TEST: One paper MCQ Type Written Test (90-Minutes Duration) relating to subject of Statistics / Statistical Methods will be conducted to short list the candidates.
