I am a Sri Lankan qualified Consultant Radiologist working as a specialist since 2002. In addition I have done 2+ years training in Australia as senior registrar level Royal Perth Hospital and Albury-Border imaging during my early carrier. Currently I work as the senior consultant interventional radiologist at the national hospital of Sri Lanka, the largest tertiary level hospital of the country with 5000+ bed strength. My team/I do all the interventional work from head to toe, ie. Brain aneurysm coiling, AVM embo, mechanical clot retrieval, aortic stenting, hepato-biliary, GU, peripheral vascular, onco interventional, MSK interventions etc etc. I am the senior interventional trainer for the country and we take 2 IR fellows per year.
