XIQ Pakistan is urgently looking for motivated, experienced and hardworking persons for the position of Senior Database Administrator in Lahore.

Responsibilities

Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on professional experience
Hands on experience on Amazon MySQL and Amazon Aurora
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production database server issues
Experience with clustering and master-slave solutions for database systems
Understanding of replication and high availability tools and methods
Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
Should know DynamoDB and NoSQL
Experience with database indexing, stored procedures, triggers and views
Experience with replication configuration in MySQL
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
Strong ability to troubleshoot in a Linux environment
