Job Description:

As a WordPress Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of WordPress-based websites. Your responsibilities will revolve around server-side development and ensuring the seamless functionality and performance of websites. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and content creators, to deliver high-quality, custom WordPress solutions.

Qualification:

· Education: Bachelors Preferred

· Experience: More than 4 years of relevant industry experience.

· Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

· Ability to work under pressure and deliver quality products under tight deadlines.

Skillsets:

· Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken

· Proficiency in creating custom post types and fields to organize and manage content beyond the standard WordPress posts and pages.

· The ability to develop custom WordPress themes, ensuring the websites design and layout match specific requirements.

· Skill in using WordPress hooks and filters to modify and extend functionality without altering the core code, allowing for flexible customization.

· Strong knowledge of PHP, as it is the core language for WordPress development, including creating plugins, themes, and custom solutions.

· Experience in integrating e-commerce solutions, such as WooCommerce, to build online stores and enable online transactions.

· Capability to create multilingual websites, catering to a global audience by integrating translation plugins and handling language-specific content.

· Expertise in customizing themes and plugins to tailor them to the specific needs of a website.

· Understanding and management of WordPress multisite networks, allowing the administration of multiple websites from a single installation.

· Specialized knowledge of WooCommerce, including customization for e-commerce needs like product displays, cart functionality, and payment gateways.

· Proficiency in using Ajax to create dynamic, asynchronous interactions within the website, enhancing user experience without requiring page reloads.

· Ability to manage and implement updates to the WordPress core, ensuring the site remains secure and up to date.

· Familiarity with and ability to configure security plugins to protect the website from threats, vulnerabilities, and malicious attacks.

· Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and animation frameworks for adding interactivity, effects, and animations to web pages.

· Skill in conducting thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and rectify issues, ensuring a bug-free website.

· Monitoring website performance, including server response times, page load speeds, and resource usage, to identify areas for improvement.

· Implementing techniques like caching, code minification, and optimizing server settings to enhance website speed and overall performance.

· Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical issues, errors, and bugs within the WordPress ecosystem.

· Understanding the fundamentals of search engine optimization SEO to optimize content and ensure better visibility on search engines.

· Skill in creating and optimizing responsive designs that adapt to various screen sizes and devices, providing a consistent user experience.
