I am a qualified food safety professional with more than two years of experience gained within food industry. Currently, I am working with Kamat & Gazebo Group where my most recent role is food safety & hygiene manager. At my current job in the quality control department, my duties include the implementation and development of food safety and quality management system, system audits both as an auditor and auditee, conducting supplier’s audit, preparing the audit reports and discuss the outputs with the top management for the continual improvement and development of the company. Previously, I was working as a hygiene officer in a catering company based in UAE. Just this past year I contributed significantly in the development of the company. Firstly, Gazebo became the first Indian Restaurant in UAE to be HALAL certified by ESMA, we got a very tough deadline but succeeded. Secondly, I have revised the HACCP operational manuals both for Kamat & Gazebo last year as per the current operations and requirements. Thirdly, I have successfully upgraded the QMS to ISO 9001:2015 by preparing all the documentations, procedures, manuals. The certification audit took place in January this year with zero non-conformities. My current organization, previous experience, education and training programs helped me develop the auditing skills, I have today, however, I am planning to shift to Pakistan for progressing my expertise further, it’s time to move on. Going forward I will be working in a challenging role within a hospitality/catering/food industry where there is plenty of room for me to grow as a professional food safety manager.
