Siyab Khan
My name is Siyab Khan. The aim of this letter is to request an opportunity regarding a Master’s in the field of Biotechnology. I had my B.S in Biotechnology from the University of Swat, Pakistan. In my BS Hons research I worked on ˝in vivo Biological screening of methanolic leaves extract of Monotheca buxifulia” Being a BS in Biotechnology student, I started my academic career in Pakistan to become a biological scientist. Having been in the field of Biotechnology, I believe it has the potential tools to understand and engineer life that could benefit the society at large and shape our future for centuries to come. During my BS studies at Institute of Biotechnology ˝The University of Swatˮ, through extensive study and with immense encouragement from my Professors, I have attained a cGPA of 3.58/4.00 in BS and became one of the top most students. I also completed my two years degree in “Associate degree in education” with A Grade from “Allama Iqbal open University”, Islamabad. I have also received Ahsaas scholarship from university of Swat˝ In my BS Hons research I worked on ˝in vivo Biological screening of methanolic leaves extract of Monotheca buxifulia” Aside from the favorable learning environment of my University, I most enjoyed its academic freedoms and active pluralism. I have attended some workshops and conferences, which broadened my view as a researcher. Furthermore, I have been involved in volunteer activities to serve humanity. My fundamental reason to do further research based studies in biotechnology that I ultimately aim to understand and engineer life that will benefit society and help us to overcome large challenges facing humanity today and in the future. In field of Biotechnology there are many undiscovered areas for many plants which may have therapeutic effect that I would like to explore. To me, as a young prospective researcher, it is my dream to devote a part of my life to the development of Biosciences in my country.
