I wish to introduce myself as a young and ambitious researcher with intense desire to improve my knowledge and excel in my work in parallel working for the betterment of society. I did my BSc Mechanical engineering in 2008, from the University of Engineering and technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. The four-year undergraduate program in Mechanical engineering formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in this field. During the first year of undergraduate study, like all other students, I received training in different disciplines of engineering while the subsequent three-year of specialization in my case was Mechanical Engineering with majors in Engineering Materials, Statics, Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Manufacturing Process, Thermo-Fluids, and Design. My final year project was about the Mechanical design of Uninterruptible Power Supply UPS and its Business feasibility. I did my MSc Advanced material science from the National University of Sience and Technology, NUST, MISiS, Moscow, Russia this year. I intend to choose my major in the field of advanced materials and their processing with a specific interest in the development of new materials and techniques in the surface coating engineering thick and thin film technology and characterization. Apart from Coating, I have also done some research work in the Metal matrix composite area. During my master degree, I studied thoroughly about thermodynamics and kinetics of materials, Magnetic materials, heat treatment of ferrous and nonferrous materials, phase diagrams and few characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, and XRD. I have published two research papers in the notable peer-reviewed journals and two more are submitted to the journals. Besides the college academics, I was actively involved in the extra-curricular activities. The driving force behind all this was my aim to develop all the facets of my personality. In this process, I could not achieve the grades I wanted to, in the undergraduate program. But soon I garnered the skill of judicious allocation of time and energy. I do not feel that the marks I scored during my bachelor’s degree are the sole indicators of my understanding of the subject. A cogent reason to augment my belief is my master studies, where with a strong focus and hard work, I excelled in my degree with distinction.
