I summarise to be a passionate research assistant with a focus on media cultivation analysis and analysis of the trends of misinformation. In doing so, I have earned proven two years of worth of research and content development experience in multi-faceted media & communication genres known to mainstream media and humanitarian sectors alike both off and online. Since October 2020, I am affiliated with Pakistan’s renowned research centre which is dedicated to the cause of gender equality and women’s development, Uks Research Resource & Publication Centre. Currently, under the capacity of Research Assistant, this position is responsible for conducting research, writing research proposals, and conceptualizing & operationalizing projects. The position oversees the development of modules & curriculum for the training, orientations and capacity-building exercises conducted for, but not limited to journalists, media practitioners etc. On the Quantitative Research front, the Research Assistant is a custodian to ensure the focused conducting of surveys and gender audits of media organizations and grounding the qualitative accounts rightly into the quantitative findings. The position pivots Uks research centre’s reporting mechanism to all stakeholders concerned. Prior, for two years I worked with three media organizations as an intern reporter and on assignment desks. The organizations I have worked with are HUM News Monitoring Desk, Public News Intern Reporter, and Aaj News Assignment Desk, Intern Reporter. Also, I have had an opportunity to work with ISPR Internship program. Now I am interested to explore new opportunities which befit my passion for social science research and professional profile. I shall be looking forward to furthering correspondence in this regard.
