Dear Madam/Sir I have over 9 years of experience in the development sector, encompassing National Program Implementation, Trainings and Content Development, Research & Documentation, Rural social mobilization, monitoring & evaluation, Leadership & Communications, advocacy and human resource management. In terms of sectors, I have worked on issues relating to Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights, Sustainable Development Goals framework agenda, Gender Justice, Adolescent and Youth leadership/empowerment for social change and Public Health Programmed. I have extensive experience in organizing capacity building training events at national, provincial and local levels for NGOs and community groups, plus government and elected officials. This includes training needs assessments, selection of participants, venue management, leading and facilitating training sessions and evaluation of the outcomes and impact of the trainings. I have developed training modules for Community Mobilization, SRHR/LSBE, Youth & democracy, Education status and reasons of Girl’s out from Government Schools, Role of Youth & Minorities in Post 2015 development framework Agenda, Advance Advocacy skills & communication and dissemination strategy, Labour and Women Rights, Right to Information, Gender Responsive Budget Allocation, Occupational, Safety and Health Issues etc. In my job with Home Net Pakistan, I assisted informal workers Homebased/Domestic Workers to form their uni ons on GALS model, later the women established their small business and took part in mega enterprise competitions. In my jobs with IHN, I developed the manual/curriculum for adolescents and teachers of government secondary schools titled, “Adolescent Health and Leadership Course for Kiran Sitara Students and Teachers”. The manual was approved by the Education Departments of Sind and KPK and consisted of topics such as Leadership, Communication Skills, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection, Social Action Project Planning. I also organized community groups to implement SALT approach for engaging communities for sustainable change. I have conducted more than 800 Human Rights Education Trainings with youth and women groups in more than 15 districts of Southern Punjab and Interior Sind. This was done in collaboration with Youth Parliament of Pakistan, Y-Peer, Girls Not Bride Network, Labour and Human Resource department. I have gained in-depth understanding of development sector while working at both the community level as well as at forums advocating for public health, women& gender rights and influencing policy shifts with provincial and national governments. I was part of the Girls Not Bride’s Campaign and led policy process of early child age marriages at community and policy level and developed behavior change communication strategy for young people in Pakistan. I served as Global Call for Action Against Poverty Youth Coordinator & coordinated with 53 PARC People’s Awareness and Rights Committees Networks in 15 Districts of South Punjab. I have been extensively involved in researches related to Gender Based Violence, Gender Wage gap, Community Engagement, Adolescent Health, Leadership and Gender Action Learning Systems at the community level. I am a self-starter, with the ability to adapt to the local context and culture. I can facilitate village-based sessions with rural women, as well as develop and conduct/facilitate trainings/meetings for senior government officials at the various levels. I have strong communication skills, both written and oral. I have written the entire curriculum of the Kiran Sitara training Programme, plus written several reports and case studies on various issues mentioned above. I am an ardent speaker and have appeared in several TV shows, as expert on human rights issues. I moderated the ‘She Leads’ Kiran Sitara event, wherein 15,000 adolescent girls, plus the Chief Minister Sind took an oath to eradicate TB. Currently, I am working as Public Policy Advisor in Labour Standard Programme of GIZ. Despite belonging to a conservative area Multan, I have been able to travel to most parts of Pakistan for work and have not shied away from visiting remote parts of the country where at times even the basic amenities are not available.
