Farooq Khan
My qualification is M.Sc (H) in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy. I have 16 year experience with Philip Morris International in field of Agronomy and agriculture extension. I have full command on GAP (Good Agriculture Practices), ALP (Agriculture Labour Practices) and relation with Private sector and Govt. departments regarding social responsibilities. Your organization needs expertise whereas my objective is to help world in food security. During GAP implementation I seek full command on CPA’s use, MRL, health and safety issues regarding pesticides uses. Variety integrity including Hybrids, seed certification, Genetical modification (GMOs), Seed germination tests, seed/fruit storage and Variety introduction in new areas. Besides this my other expertise are crop production, protection, weeds, soil management and water management with rural farming communities, rural cooperatives. I performed my duties in KPK (Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Charsada, Buner, Mansehra, AJK and Punjab (Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Okara, Qasoor, Sahiwal, Melci, Khanewal and Multan) as Regional Manager. Besides crop production, I have also solid knowledge of fertilizers, Seed technology and CPA’s (pesticides). My main responsibilities were • Being a Manager, ensure supply of product with Improved Quality, yield and production. To work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local government, donors, community‐based organizations, and the private sector • Being Agronomist, for all activities from seed to supply of product to the Company. o Carrying out trails on Pesticides o Provision of technical support and services regarding CPA’s, fertilizer application Introduction of biological control, IPM, MRL issues in product Introduction of CPA’s Sales of pesticides o Seed Germination, testing and GMO’s Hybrid seed introduction • Being TOT, Training of farmers and new hired team members o Understanding of crop and recommendation for quality o Decision at farm level I have full command on English speaking/ writing. Moreover I have agronomy in all region of Pakistan and training experience in Brazil.
