Ghulam Shabbir
Dear Sir Kindly refer to the subject matter. I have conducted my Doctoral research on Smart City IoT Architecture and the name of my PhD dissertation is “A Performance Optimized Communication Framework for Ubiquitous Computing Internet of Things Infrastructure Model”. My PhD in “Internet of Things” is almost completed within year 2019. I have completed my research thesis and publications in the following IoT/WoT domains: 1. Internet of Things/Web of Things Prototype Testbed o HTTP/CoAP: RESTful Webserver Architecture for IoT/Web of Things WoT Architecture o Web-Integrated Smart Campus Environment/Infrastructure Testbed o Modifications in Protocol Stacks for IoT System in the Perspective of Architecture and Applications I have established a ubiquitous environment monitoring middleware scenario, typically for a Smart DataCenter, based on HTTP1.0/RESTful architecture and whole modified IoT communication protocol stack, comprising of HTTP1.0, IPv6/RPL, 6LoWPAN, and IEEE 802.15.4. The deployment setup consists of 6LoWPAN LLN, RPL border router gateway, RESTful Webserver application, and MySQL remote storage; remote storage application is based on Node.JS framework facilitates connectivity through JSON data fetching mechanism between MySQL server and 6LoWPAN WSN through RPL gateway. Simulation and emulation environment, have been established on open source Contiki-NG Operating System in Ubuntu 16.04 environment. Based on this architecture, a smart dermatological prediction analysis is performed on Hidden Markov Model of machine learning. I have employed 6 Tmote Sky Platforms for 6LoWPAN LLN nodes, 1 Tmote Sky for border router, and Raspberry Pi3.0 for MySQL cloud storage. My publication is in pipeline for submission 2. Energy Harvesting IoT Networks using MATLAB simulations: My publication is: • Shabbir, Ghulam, Jamil Ahmad, Waseem Raza, Yasar Amin, Adeel Akram, Jonathan Loo, and Hannu Tenhunen. "Buffer-aided Successive Relay Selection Scheme for Energy Harvesting IoT Networks." IEEE Access 2019. Impact Factor: 3.55 3. Performance Optimization in Software Defined Edge Based IoT Networks using Cooja simulator/emulator on Contiki3.0 Operating System in Ubuntu16.04 environment. My publications are: • Shabbir, G., Akram, A., Iqbal, M.M., Jabbar, S., Alfawair, M. and Chaudhry, J., 2018. Network Performance Enhancement of Multi-sink Enabled Low Power Lossy Networks in SDN Based Internet of Things. International Journal of Parallel Programming, pp.1-32. Impact Factor: 0.897. • Shafaq Malik, Ghulam Shabbir, Adeel Akram, “BEIOX: The BATMAN Enabled Internet of X”, International Journal of Computer Applications, Foundation of Computer Science FCS, NY, USA, Volume 180 - Number 9, Year of Publication: 2018. DOI: 10.5120/ijca2018916126 My overall 10 publications can be witnessed at google scholar web page: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=JNEVdugAAAAJ&hl=en It is therefore requested to kindly consider me as a potential candidate for the subject position. My research is in the area of smart city based on Internet of Things/Web of Things infrastructure. Rest of my credential can be witnessed in my attached detailed CV/profile. Thanks, and Best Regards. Engr. Ghulam Shabbir
