Mahnaaz Farid
I have been a part of the private education sector over 14 years. I began my initial teaching career from Beaconhouse School System in the northern region from 1997-2000. Later, I joined the central region and remained with the system from 2004-2012, thus completing my 11 years of service. During this time, I progressively advanced due to my diligence, hard work and by successfully completing and implementing various professional development courses. Recognizing my potential, the management put me on the fast track and gave me a chance to work in varying capacities in a number of campuses in the central region. I joined Lahore College of Arts and Sciences (LACAS) in August 2012 as a Headmistress of the A Level Campus and I am currently working as the Vice Principal for the Senior Boys Branch Johar Town Campus. Working in numerous roles at BSS and LACAS, I have always focused on capacity building and restored sustainability through regular review of practices. I contributed to both institutions by welcoming change, working out of the box, encouraging healthy competition and highlighting potential high achievers who could take over and sustain the change. My hardwork was acknowledged in both institutions for training employees and maintaining excellence in academics and extra-curricular. I applied my team management skills in sustaining the interest of all stake holders, providing workable solutions, and making independent decisions. My extensive market experience of over 14 years with private schools has trained me well in leadership skills and thus encourages me to apply for an executive leadership position entailing more responsibility.
