I have developed myself professionally in the field of accounting & finance in last 15 years and have gained invaluable diverse industry experience in USA, Pakistan, Canada and UK, ranging from FS/Banking, CPG, Media and BIG 4 accounting firm KPMG International and KPMG UK. My work portfolio includes accounting operations, financial and statutory reporting, direct and indirect tax expertise, forecasts and budgets GBP 600mil, strategic planning and project management. Accounting and Financial Management As Finance Manager with KPMG GRC Canada, I managed accounting operations for over 240 FTE’s, prepared financial statements, AP/AR functions avg. pay-run was USD 15million weekly, managed all bank relationships and cash flow forecasts, reviewed expense details of circa USD 44million and liaised with external auditors on matters of indirect taxes, Income Tax returns and year-end audits. In SMT Direct, my role as Finance Manager, was to manage and control all accounting operations managed a team of three from month-end close to treasury and external reporting to the bank and government stakeholders. Lead Tax planning and financial audits, automated the payroll system and improved internal controls. At Time Warner in USA, I was responsible for over USD 90 million dollars of invoices and credit collection procedures. Financial Reporting Responsible for overall member firm reporting at KPMG EMA, insight on KPI’s, review financial submissions, growth initiatives reporting and prepared country performance reports for CEO/CFO. Treasury Managed cash flow forecasts, f/x, credit facilities, cash calls and banking relationships at SMT and KPMG. Budget Management In my most recent role as Manager Finance – Markets at KPMG UK, I managed regions market budget of GBP 600 million, led business and profitability analysis of three markets, financial models in MS Excel, managed customer database and cost center reporting in SAP. Regularly monitored performance and provided insights on performance of over GBP 3billion of revenues. Risk Management and Performance As Finance Manager of KPMG EMA region, my achievement was to develop a risk dashboard of over 110 EMA member firms highlighting different factors for strategic decision making. Managed budget of Euro 23 million strategic initiative/project based budget and monitored performance against actuals. Reviewed expense details of all EMA employees, payroll details and approved invoices up to Euro 100k as a central finance budget holder.
