Presently, I am working as a lecturer at Istanbul Commerce University İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi, Faculty of Communication - Department of Media and Communication. As you can see in my CV attached to this petition, I have worked as a journalist for a long time. I have been an accredited reporter at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for the media group I worked. Meanwhile, I studied newspaper page design at Milo School of Computer Graphics, Totowa, NJ. Then I started publishing a local newspaper called "FORUM -The Turkish American Newspaper" for the Turkish population living in New York and New Jersey for 11 years. During my 22 years of active journalism, I interviewed 20 Presidents and Prime Ministers and was a war correspondent in Afghanistan and Bosnia Herzegovina. In addition to being a correspondent and a columnist, I worked as a Foreign News Manager and News Manager. After quitting active journalism, I started working as a university lecturer. I gave lectures on journalism and media studies at three different universities. I am currently working as a full Professor at Istanbul Commerce University. I am looking for a job at a university where I can teach digital journalism and media studies by making use of my experience in theory and practice in journalism.
