Nazeer Anjum
Introduction Myself I am Engr. Dr. Nazeer Ahmad Anjum, I am currently working as Professor at Quaid-e-Azam College of Engineering & Technology Sahiwal. After completing DAE in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Board of Technical Education, Lahore in 1982, I joined UET Taxila as a Laboratory Supervisor in BPS 11 in 1983. I was very fond of Education and constantly applied for admission in UET to enroll myself for B. S. in Mechanical Engineering. I got admission in both the Universities, Lahore & Taxila. I enrolled myself at UET Taxila. In 2004, I completed my B. Sc degree with honor in Mechanical Engineering obtaining 85.5% age. I did my Final year project on “Drill Stem Testing Techniques and Study of Equipment.” Under the kind supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahab Khushnood. I enrolled myself for Master Program in “Applied Mechanics & Design” in 2005 and completed in 2007 from UET Taxila with 3.50 CGPA. M. Sc research work was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. M. M. I. Hamouda. Thesis title was “Notch Fatigue Behaviour in Aluminum due to Rotating Four Point Bending”. Then I enrolled for PhD program in “Applied Mechanics & Design” in 2008 & completed in 2016 with 3.50 CGPA. My research title was “Mechanical Characterisation of Al-6061 Strengthened by ECAP”. My thesis supervisor was Prof. Dr. Muhmmad Zubair Khan and co-supervisor Dr. Masoor-ur-Rehman Shah. As for my professional carrier is concerned, I resumed my duties at UET Taxila as Lecturer in 2005 and retired as Professor after attaining superannuation on dated 19th March, 2021. I have been awarded different certificates as “standing on DEAN’s list for second position in 3rd semester, Certificate of Merit for obtaining 4th position in Mechanical Engineering Degree Program, also I was awarded certificate of Merit in recognition of distinguished contribution to cultural and social life of UET Taxila. I have nearly 20 International and National research publications in HEC recognized journals and 8 conference papers. I actively remained involve in supervision of research activities, up to now I have supervised more than 20 Master students and one PhD student is doing his research under my supervision. During my Sixteen years of service, that is after graduation, at UET Taxila, I remained actively involved in Departmental Administrative duties assigned to me. Before graduation, I performed my duties in different labs as MMT, MMC, Thermodynamics, Workshops to maintain the equipment and demonstrated comprehensively the experimentation. I also supervised various projects and participated in different Universities as: a. Runner up in 1st Robotics competition held at EME in 2005. b. 1st position in 1st DBFC held at GIKI in 2006. c. 1st position in 2nd DBFC held at GIKI in 2007. d. 2nd position in 3rd DBFC held at GIKI in 2008. Apart from these activities, I also performed additional duties as: a. Incharge Gardening from 2007 to 2012. b. Warden of Hostels 2017 to superannuation. c. Member of Transport Committee from 2017 to superannuation. d. Advisor of QDS, Environment Protection Society, IMechE. I have participated various workshops, CPD and training activities. In previous semester I have taught Machine Design & Mechanics of Machines. Currently we are deputed at INFINTY school of Engineering to establish course curriculum and Lab manuals based on OBE system by QCET, Sahiwal. Thanks and obliged
