Rafay Ahmed
I’m Rafay. I am currently awaiting results for my final year of BE Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology. As you can see from my resume, I have been a bright student throughout my academic career so far, having secured ‘1st Position’ in intermediate in my entire college and maintained a CGPA of 3.73 in my Bachelor of Engineering Degree. Also, at the University, I have been an active student and am popular among the students and teachers alike. I am good at using ANSYS Workbench, AutoCAD, MATLAB and MS Office. I am also good at conducting research online and otherwise. By using these skills, I successfully completed my Final Year Project which involved conducting the Transient Dynamic Structural Analysis for making lighter and economical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAV Wing. I also did a Fluid Mechanics Project which involved development of a Prototype of a Hydraulic Lifter which was capable of carrying up to 300 grams weight. I also did internships at a couple of places including at Artistic Milliners Pvt Ltd and at Shaz Shipping & Trading Co. At Artistic Milliners, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for 2 weeks. There I was given the task of preparing a report about certain departments of the Company. In this regard, I visited different Departments of the Company to observe their day-to-day proceedings and processes. Based on this observation, I prepared a Report in which I outlined strengths, weaknesses, suggestions for improvements and rectifications of hazardous practices in the Departments. At Shaz Shipping & Trading Co, I worked as an intern in the Maintenance Department of the Company for 2 weeks. There again I was given the task of preparing report based on my observation of maintenance of air-conditioning system and handling of crane parts.
