Before starting West Midlands Specialist training programme in Diabetes / General Medicine in 2014, I have worked as Associate Specialist Acute Medicine/Endocrine & Diabetes, Jersey General Hospital Channel Isles, Specialist in Blackpool teaching hospital, Armed Forces Hospital Saudi Arabia and Social Security Hospital Pakistan from 2007 to 2014. I have also completed 4.5 years Postgraduate fellowship training programme in General Internal Medicine via College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan from 2003 to 2007. Research / Academic Skills: I have been involved in research work including publications in various peer reviewed journals with H-index of 6.4 with over 26 publications with 129 citations as well various oral and poster presentations on national/international level. I am also national Young Diabetologists & Endocrinologist Forum committee member and lead for Midlands Foot Course & National Motivational Interviewing course for training specialist registrars. Interests: My interests include improving access and delivery of health care/ psychological support to people with diabetes, assessing burnout in healthcare professionals, enhancing training experience, assessing variability in training & diabetes care, Employee Engagement and Morale Boasting for rejuvenating outstanding patient experience and service development in Acute Medicine.
