We Are Nova Private Limited seeks energetic, qualified and experienced candidates for the vacant position of Business Growth Mentor in Islamabad.
What’s the job role
To be the business champion within Nova whilst working with the founders to drive revenue opportunities. This role reports to the Head of Commercialisation
Key tasks
To undertake an advisory / coaching role working across the Nova portfolio spending half a day per month with individual founders
To facilitate reviews with the founders to ensure that a Revenue model and a Value curve are completed within the first 3 months and that assumptions are clearly documented and understood and that experiments are planned to address them
Working across the portfolio early stage companies - focused on business growth, helping them to build a strong business model, investible financial model and develop a go to market strategy
Work with founders (and Product Managers) during the first 9 month Nova ‘Foundation’ Investment and grow the value of the business
Assist Founder with coordinating tasks and escalation, if needed , across the Nova group
Ensure there is a clear vision and mission defined for each business
Guide and empower founders to focus on the commercial development of their business using the Nova financial model (including business model, pricing models, P&L).Set and track key metrics for each business
Carry out a monthly cadence with the founder to ensure the model is updated with learnings that drive the business strategy and tactics for the next period
Act as the escalation point for any commercial issues between Nova and the Founders
Support founders to build their skills & network
Become a sounding board, a coach, a trusted advisor to the founder
Inspire and signpost information to help them develop skills
Source & introduce the right advisors to the right founders at the right time
Specialist Sector or Market experienced Business Growth Mentors
Other external value add advisors
Highlight to Product Manager if the business is doing something worth sharing with the wider team at Nova
Participate in the Nova Investment Committee process as needed
