Procurement Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Procurement Manager to help build and drive an effective and efficient sourcing and Procurement Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Build and implement a sourcing and procurement process by establishing procurement policies, guidelines and best practices for driving value and savings on purchases.
• Recommend purchases based upon factors of quantity, price, quality, delivery requirements, and shipping points.
• Place purchase orders based on reorder reports, customer orders, special orders, stock/export demand, etc.
• Examine and approve all invoice variances for orders placed
• Maintain vendor and product files, price lists and correspondence related to their product lines
• Acquire quotes, pricing, product information, data sheets, sourcing and samples on both new and existing products
• Ability to quickly learn ERP system to create and generate reports and review data that is critical in supporting purchasing and inventory controls.
• Manage and audit other purchasing performed by staff or other employees
• Identify vendor cost savings opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business-related field such as supply chain management.
• 2-3 years of working experience in an E-Commerce industry in a procurement or purchasing role.
• Extensive knowledge of sourcing policies and best practices in procurement.
• Experience with IT & Non-IT procurement.
• Proven track record of building and implementing new functions, process or procedures from the ground up.
• Ability to effectively articulate difficult ideas and concepts through clear and concise verbal and/or written communication.
• Ability to build strategic relationships with business leaders across the corporation.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel.
