Job Title: Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer with Drafting Experience and Proficient Report Writing Skills
We are in search of a highly skilled Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess experience in ELV and LV design, while experience in MV/HV is desirable. Moreover, they should have drafting experience and excellent report writing skills. The Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for generating and maintaining detailed documentation, which includes schematics, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and project reports. They will carry out simulations and calculations to verify designs and guarantee compliance with applicable codes and standards. The candidate will also identify and troubleshoot electrical system issues and provide innovative solutions. They should be well-versed in electrical design software such as Altium Designer, Or CAD, or a similar program. The candidate should also be able to read and create AutoCAD drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or a similar software. Familiarity with mechanical drafting will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design electrical/electronics systems and components by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
Create and maintain electrical product specifications, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials.
Conduct simulations and calculations to validate designs and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems and provide innovative solutions.
Design and develop electrical systems for locomotives if applicable.
Utilize electrical design software such as Altium Designer, Or CAD, or a similar program to design and develop electrical/electronics systems and components.
Read and create AutoCAD drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or a similar software.
AutoCAD Electrical or a similar software is a mandatory requirement.
Possess experience in 3D and 2D AutoCAD drafting.
Produce technical reports and documentation using excellent report writing skills.
Continuously improve designs and processes through analysis and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Design Engineering.
Experience in ELV and LV design, while experience in MV/HV is desirable.
Proficient in electrical design software such as Altium Designer, Or CAD, or a similar program.
Experience in reading and creating AutoCAD drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or a similar software.
Familiarity with 3D and 2D AutoCAD drafting.
Excellent report writing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in designing electrical systems for locomotives is desirable.
